Explorando las proporciones y la creatividad en matemáticas
Los estudiantes de Sexto Grado investigaron distintos personajes de caricatura y exploraron cómo representarlos en el plano cartesiano. Luego, aplicaron sus conocimientos sobre relaciones proporcionales para dibujarlos a diferentes escalas, reduciendo su tamaño a una cuarta parte y ampliándolo al doble.
Aprendizaje atractivo mediante juegos
Los estudiantes de Quinto Grado crearon y utilizaron juegos para fortalecer su aprendizaje sobre fracciones y operaciones con fracciones, promoviendo la interacción y el trabajo en equipo.

Los estudiantes de Cuarto Grado representaron decimales de forma gráfica, comenzando con la representación de fracciones y estableciendo conexiones con los valores posicionales de los decimales. A través de actividades prácticas con cuadrículas y marcadores, exploraron cómo las fracciones pueden expresarse en decimales y cómo se relacionan con las unidades incompletas. También experimentaron con números mixtos y fracciones impropias, haciendo del aprendizaje un proceso interactivo y significativo.

Exploring Proportions and Creativity in Mathematics
Seventh-grade students conducted research on various cartoon characters to analyze their features and determine how they could be accurately represented on a Cartesian plane. Applying their knowledge of proportional relationships, they recreated these figures by scaling them down to one-fourth of their original size and enlarging them to twice their size.
Engaging Learning Through Games
Sixth-grade students designed interactive games to connect with their peers while reinforcing concepts related to fractions and operations with fractions. Through play, they deepened their understanding and made learning more dynamic and engaging.
UPPER ELEMENTARY
From Fractions to Decimals: A Visual Approach
Last week, fifth-grade students worked on representing decimals through graphical models. Using grids and markers, they explored how fractions translate into decimal notation. By leveraging their prior knowledge of fraction models, they connected the visual representation of parts of a unit with decimal place values. The hands-on activity made learning engaging, as students enjoyed painting different fractions and discovering their decimal equivalents. They also explored mixed numbers and improper fractions.
