Luego de una década, regresa a Colombia uno de los ilustradores más reconocidos en el mundo de los libros ilustrados para niños, Satoshi Kitamura, nacido en Japón y establecido desde hace tiempo en Inglaterra y ganador de varios premios internacionales.
El autor compartió su talento y creatividad con algunos estudiantes de Primaria Baja el pasado viernes, 19 de abril, en el colegio ANDINO, evento organizado en el marco de la feria internacional del libro de Bogotá FILBO.
Los estudiantes del Colegio Rochester disfrutaron de sus historias impregnadas de lúdica, y en una profunda conexión con el poder de los sueños y la creatividad, pudieron escuchar una historia en la voz de Satoshi. Aclararon algunas imágenes con sus preguntas y disfrutaron de un encuentro entre colegios, en donde se distinguieron por su excelente comportamiento. ¡Felicitaciones!
Con actividades como esta, pretendemos formar niñas y niños amantes de la lectura. ¡Deseamos que los estudiantes recuerden con cariño esta entrañable experiencia!

AN ENCOUNTER WITH THE AUTHOR: SATOSHI KITAMURA
After a decade, one of the most renowned illustrators in the world of children's picture books, Satoshi Kitamura, born in Japan and long established in England and winner of several international awards, returns to Colombia.
The author shared his talent and creativity with some Lower Elementary students last Friday, April 19, at the ANDINO school, an event organized within the framework of the International Book Fair of Bogota FILBO.
Rochester School students enjoyed his playful stories, and in a deep connection with the power of dreams and creativity, they were able to listen to a story in Satoshi's voice. They clarified some pictures with their questions and enjoyed a meeting between schools, where they distinguished themselves for their excellent behavior. Congratulations!
With activities like this, we seekto educate children to love reading. We hope that the students will remember this experience fondly!
