Students, parents, and teachers participated in our first Titi-Athlon in February, 2020, and we all collected $5,678,400, which converted to to 1,419 trees for the threatened Dry Tropical Forest of the Colombian endemic Cotton-Top Tamarin and other important species. The Titi Project Foundation in Barranquilla has worked throughout the year, even during the pandemic, on the nursery taking care of and planting the seeds that have germinated into seedlings. In a couple of months, these seedlings will have the right size to be planted in the forest. We will keep you informed of our success together. En nuestro primer Tití-Atlón Rochesteriano de febrero recolectamos $5.678.400 pesos, equivalente a 1.419 árboles para reforestar el Bosque Seco Tropical en el norte de Colombia, hogar del Tití Cabeciblanco, endémico de Colombia, y otras importantes especies. La Fundación Proyecto Tití ha trabajado durante todo el año, incluso durante la pandemia, en el vivero cerca del bosque, y las semillas han germinado a plántulas. En noviembre, los plantarán en el bosque en lugares clave para la conectividad de los parches de bosque. Continuaremos la historia pronto. Gracias a todos por apoyar este proyecto de conservación.
