The Rochester Educational Foundation (FER) and the members of its Social Sustainability team wish to express our gratitude for the support received by the students of Rochester School and their families in the month of October 2023 in the collection and delivery of groceries to vulnerable families who are part of the Shared Bread initiative at the Official Educational Institution of Fonquetá. Thanks to your generosity and solidarity with non-perishable products, we have generated a positive impact on the community, benefiting 32 families. We were able to provide nutritious and essential food to these families facing hardship.
We would also like to thank the school’s collaborators, since thanks to their solidarity we were able to collaborate with groceries for 8 children and their families, from the Official Educational Institution of Fusca. These actions show the strength of our community and the importance of coming together in times of need.
At the Rochester Educational Foundation we will continue working to provide support to those in need and, with your continued support, we can make a difference and contribute to achieving Sustainable Development Goal # 2 of the United Nations: Zero Hunger. For this reason, it is our desire to continue with the project during this school year 2023-2024, for which we will continue to be inspired each month by Mother Teresa of Calcutta’s motto: “If you can’t feed 100 people, feed one.”

PAN COMPARTIDO: UNA GRAN INICIATIVA – OCTUBRE DE 2023
La Fundación Educativa Rochester (FER) y los miembros de su equipo de Sostenibilidad Social deseamos expresar nuestro agradecimiento por el apoyo recibido por los estudiantes del Colegio Rochester y sus familias en la recolección y entrega de mercados a las familias vulnerables que hacen parte de la iniciativa de Pan Compartido en la Institución Educativa Oficial de Fonquetá, en el mes de octubre de 2023. Gracias a su generosidad y solidaridad con productos no perecederos, hemos logrado un impacto en la comunidad, beneficiando a 32 familias. Logramos proporcionar alimentos nutritivos y esenciales a estas familias que enfrentan dificultades.
También queremos agradecer a los colaboradores del colegio, dado que gracias a su solidaridad conseguimos colaborar con mercados para 8 niños y sus familias, de la Institución Educativa Oficial Fusca. Estas acciones son muestra de la fortaleza de nuestra comunidad y la importancia de unirse en momentos de necesidad.
En la FER seguiremos trabajando para brindar apoyo a quienes lo necesitan y, con su continuo respaldo, podemos marcar la diferencia y contribuir a lograr el Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible # 2 de las Naciones Unidas: Hambre Cero. Por esta razón, es nuestro deseo continuar con el proyecto durante este año escolar 2023-2024, para lo cual continuaremos inspirándonos cada mes en el lema de la Madre Teresa de Calcuta: “Si no puedes alimentar a 100 personas, alimenta a una.”
