It is with great pride that the Rochester Educational Foundation and its Social Sustainability Team share with the community the delivery of the markets collected in the month of September 2023, for the 35 vulnerable families of Institución Educativa Oficial Fonquetá in the municipality of Chía, through the “Shared Bread” initiative, which began this school year in September 2023. Our goal is to inspire each member of the community to become a systemic and global citizen, committed to the needs of our society and thus contribute to achieving Sustainable Development Goal # 2 of the United Nations: Zero Hunger.
Today we would like to thank the students of Rochester School and their families for their great solidarity, empathy and commitment to this cause. With the support of the Eleventh grade students we were able to organize groceries for these families, who have thanked us in many ways, sending their gratitude to the families from Pre-Kindergarten to Twelfth Grade of Rochester School. It is our desire to continue the project during this 2023-2024 academic year, for which we will continue to be inspired by Mother Teresa of Calcutta’s motto: “If you can’t feed 100 people, feed one.”

Pan Compartido: Una Gran Iniciativa – Septiembre de 2023
Es motivo de orgullo para la Fundación Educativa Rochester y su Equipo de Sostenibilidad Social compartir con la comunidad la entrega de los mercados recolectados en el mes de septiembre de 2023, para las 35 familias vulnerables de la Institución Educativa Oficial Fonquetá en el municipio de Chía, mediante la iniciativa de “Pan Compartido”, que comenzó este año escolar en el mes de septiembre de 2023. Nuestro objetivo es inspirar a cada miembro de la comunidad a convertirse en un ciudadano sistémico y global, comprometido con las necesidades de nuestra sociedad y poder así contribuir a lograr el Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible # 2 de las Naciones Unidas: Hambre Cero.
Hoy deseamos agradecer a los estudiantes del Colegio Rochester y a sus familias por su gran solidaridad, empatía y compromiso con esta causa, Con el apoyo de los estudiantes de grado Décimo logramos organizar mercados para estas familias, quienes han agradecido de muchas maneras, enviando su gratitud a las familias de Prejardín a Undécimo Grado del Colegio Rochester. Es nuestro deseo continuar con el proyecto durante este año académico 2023-2024, para lo cual continuaremos inspirándonos en el lema de la Madre Teresa de Calcuta: “Si no puedes alimentar a 100 personas, alimenta a una.”
