General Recommendations for Routine Cleaning and Disinfection of Households
We invite our community members to practice routine cleaning of frequently touched surfaces like tables, doorknobs, light switches, handles, desks, toilets, faucets and sinks. Please use household cleaners for safety and effectiveness. Remember there are some precautions you should take when applying the product, such as wearing gloves and making sure you have good ventilation during use of the product.
Coronavirus can remain in surfaces for up to 9 Days. For that reason is that we want you to take this good advice from our Wellness Center.
Surface disinfection with 0.1% sodium hypochlorite commonly known as Clorox o Decol ( that has 5% of sodium hypoclorite) or 71 % ethanol, significantly reduces coronavirus infectivity on surfaces within 1 minute exposure time. Also, you should clean soft (porous) surfaces such as carpeted floor, rugs, and drapes with appropriate cleaners.
After cleaning:
Wash items according to manufacturer’s instructions.
If possible, wash items using hot water and dry them completely.
Perform hand hygiene frequently. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or use a hand sanitizer that contains 60 to 95% alcohol, cover all surfaces of your hands, and rub them.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with your unwashed hands.
