ROCHESTER SCHOOL RECEIVES INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATION AS “GREAT PLACE TO STUDY”
We are proud to announce the community that on February 17, 2020, Rochester School received its 4th International Certification, as “Great Place to Study”.
What is Great Place to Study and how it came to Colombia?
“For the first time it comes to Latin America, starting in Colombia, a worldwide tool to measure satisfaction and happiness in educational institutions, the launching of which took place in June, 2019, with the presence of Mr. Shekhar A Bhattacharjee, founder, CEO, and part of the GPTS team.” (Magazine EDU, Ciprés)
“Great Place to Study” is an educational and technological research global enterprise, engaged in the evaluation and certification of universities and schools, based on satisfaction surveys, completed by students, teachers and parents. Such certification is a badge of honor granted to institutions after carrying out scientific data studies collected through an automated satisfaction survey, using learing and evaluation practices of the 21st century. It started in India, it was established in 2012, and it operates with headquarters in London, Delhi and Manila. With presence in 23 countries, it has now its Latin American chapter in Bogotá, Colombia, through Ciprés Mercadeo Educativo, its educational partner to exclusively represent them.” (Revista EDU)
There are already operations in Mexico, starting soon in Perú, Chile and Argentina. At present, there are more than 400 institutions certified as a “Great Place to Study” around the world.
What does Great Place to Study measure?
Basically SIX (6) key indicators: 1- The Learning Experience 2- The Happiness Factor 3- Extracurricular Activities 4- Infrastructure 5- Life in the Campus 6- Psychological Well-Being of Teachers and Students, as well as general satisfaction of Parents and Teachers.
Today in Colombia there are already 27 schools, some already certified and others in the process of certification, which are part of the “TOP 50 GREAT SCHOOLS OF COLOMBIA”, in a program where only 50 schools in our country will be certified as a “Great Place to Study”.
We want to congratulate the entire community on this great achievement, give thanks to all students, teachers and parents for their participation, dedication and timely completion of the surveys. We will continue working in pusuit of happiness and satisfaction of the community. Excellent teamwork!

Con gran orgullo anunciamos a la comunidad que el 17 de Febrero de 2020, el Colegio Rochester recibió su 4ta Certificación Internacional, como “Great Place to Study” (Gran Lugar para Estudiar).
¿Qué es “Great Place to Study” y cómo llegó a Colombia?
“Por primera vez llega a Latinoamérica, iniciando en Colombia, una herramienta mundial de medición de la satisfacción y la felicidad en instituciones educativas, cuyo lanzamiento se hace en Junio de 2019, con la presencia de Shekhar A Bhattacharjee, fundador, CEO, y parte del equipo de GPTS.” (Revista EDU, Ciprés)
“Great Place to Study” es una empresa global de investigación educativa y tecnológica, dedicada a la evaluación y certificación de universidades y colegios, con base en encuestas de satisfacción, tanto de estudiantes, como de profesores y padres de familia. La certificación es una insignia de honor que se otorga a las instituciones después de realizar estudios de datos científicos recopilados por la encuesta automatizada, utilizando prácticas de aprendizaje y evaluación del siglo XXI. ¿Qué mide Great Place to Study?
Básicamente Seis (6) Indicadores clave: 1- La experiencia de aprendizaje; 2- El factor felicidad; 3- Las actividades extracurriculares; 4- La infraestructura; 5- La vida en el campus; 6- El bienestar psicológico de profesores y estudiantes. Igualmente, mide la satisfacción general de padres de familia y de profesores.
Hoy en Colombia hay ya 27 colegios, algunos ya certificados y otros en proceso de certificación, que hacen parte del “Top 50 Great Places to Study”, en un programa en el cual tan solo 50 colegios de nuestro país van a poder ser certificados.
Por este gran logro, queremos felicitar a toda la comunidad, dar las gracias a los estudiantes, profesores y padres de familia por su participación, dedicación y oportuno diligenciamiento de las encuestas.
